The SBSRC's Administrative Technician Helps Take Lead in Walking in Whittier Initiative
Gretchen Mills and Lisa Lightner are among wellness ambassadors integrating the maps into a building-wide walking initiative. Their program, "Walking in Whittier," is being incorporated into the Every Move fitness program, an online and smart device app that allows individuals to track their activity, and will include award incentives for participants.
"We worked with Courtney Schnell to create three different routes through Whittier," Mills said. "They accommodate different levels of physical activity, ranging from a quarter to full mile, and with and without stairs."
Mohan J. Dutta presents: Qualitative Translation Health Communication: Culturally Centered Community-based Projects of Social Change
Mohan J. Dutta is Provost's Chair Professor and Head of the Department of Communications and New Media at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Adjunct Professor at the Interactive Digital Media Institute (IDMI) at NUS, and Courtesy Professor of Communication at Purdue University. At NUS, he is the Founding Director of the Center for Culture-Centered Approach to Research and Evaluation (CARE), directing research on culturally-centered, community-based projects of social change.
