Trish Wonch Hill Assistant Director of the Methodology Evaluation and Research Core (MERC)

Currently, I am the Social Science Researcher on the NSF INCLUDES grant, WATCH:US (Women Achieving through Community Hubs in the U.S.) where I am conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses to understand how enrichment programs for women and underrepresented minority post-secondary students in mathematics work to facilitate persistence towards obtaining advanced degrees within the Mathematical Sciences.  As part of my work on the NIH SEPA Award, Biology of Human (NIH 1R25OD010506), I investigate how, friendship, science gender bias and mindsets during early adolescence influence science identity formation in middle school age youth in order to broaden interest and persistence in STEM careers.
