Transdisciplinary Childhood Obesity Prevention Graduate Program (TOP)

The Transdisciplinary Childhood Obesity Prevention (TOP) Graduate Program provides experiential learning and research opportunities to graduate students in a variety of fields, all focusing on childhood obesity. The program provides a TOP certificate upon graduation in addition to a student’s regular Master’s or Doctoral degree to students in the program at UNL and South Dakota State University (SDSU).

The five year evaluation, funded by the TOP program, aims to assess the effectiveness of the current program structures to inform improvement measures in future years and aid in the transition from a blended course delivery to one that is online-only. The SBSRC provides evaluation support for this program in conjunction with the Bureau of Sociological Research (BOSR).
